We’re finally emerging from one of the coldest winters in recent times, and the fun and games of Spring and Summer in Kentucky is calling! So, tally up your PTO and load your calendar for lots of fun in Campbellsville KY!

Outdoor Adventure Awaits.

Campbellsville is the perfect homebase for outdoor activities and exploring nature. Green River Lake State Park, just a very short drive outside this beautiful little city, has been voted the Best Hunting and Fishing Spot and the Best Water Tourism Spot by Kentucky Living Magazine readers in 2024 and 2025 and, no surprise, is again nominated in 2026

Plan early to reserve the best camping or RV spots or a comfortable vacation rental or cabin. As they say, the fish are jumping, and the water is getting warm enough to put your toes, canoe, kayak, or your private boat in this beautiful lake. You can even rent a pontoon, fishing boat, or a kayak from the Green River Marina.

If you’re more a land-loving type, there are plenty of opportunities around Campbellsville and along Green River Lake to hike or walk and explore nature. In fact, Campbellsville has the distinction of being designated as a Certified Kentucky Trail Town, based on more than 50 miles of trails for mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding, all withing a short distance from the downtown area.

Enjoy University Town Charm

A diverse selection of restaurants, bars and breweries and plenty of hotels, bed and breakfast inns and vacation rentals make it easy to plan days of outdoor adventures and to enjoy this upbeat university town and it’s friendly community.

In the historic downtown district, you’ll find plenty of dining choices, from Best of Kentucky award winning barbecue at Brothers Barbecue to Southern home style cooking and the best crispy fried chicken tenders around and even some health food selections. Trust me…you won’t go hungry in Campbellsville!

While you are in town, check out the retail, boutiques and specialty shops on Main Street. Chances are you will find that certain gift or personal item that’s just what you’ve been looking for.
