Stars, Stripes, and Summer Nights

Before you put anything else on your calendar for the summer, stop now and make plans for the 49th Annual Campbellsville-Taylor County Fourth of July Celebration, June 28 through July 5.

This eight-day event is the Independence Day Celebration you’ve dreamed of, with parades, patriotic floats and beauty queens, hot air balloons, live music concerts, car shows and tractor pulls, games and races, food, food and more food, and of course…the most fantastic fireworks display around. It doesn’t get any more patriotic than this!

Check out the Celebration Schedule of Events…you don’t want to miss a thing. The week will be filled with tried-and-true favorites like the K-Country Showdown on July 3, one of the longest-running talent competitions in Kentucky, showcasing local and regional talent for more than 40 years.

New to this year’s celebration is the Firecracker Games—a two-day multi-sport tournament filled with fun and excitement! Grab your friends and get ready for spirited competition:

  • Co-ed Sand Volleyball

Hot air balloons will once again fill the skies with the Tom McClendon Memorial Lift-Off. It is truly a spectacular sight to watch more than 10 hot air balloons as they fill with air and prepare for take-off, then soar over Campbellsville.

And the most awaited event of all, the annual Fireworks Over Miller Park. Although the fireworks can be seen for miles away, it is suggested that you bring your lawn chairs and join thousands for the most fantastic fireworks around and the best Fourth of July Celebration in Central Kentucky.
