In its 48th year, Campbellsville sets the stage for one of the largest 4th of July celebrations in Central Kentucky. With six days of celebration, be sure to check out our schedule of events. There’s fun for everyone.


1. FREE CONCERTS.

From patriotic classical string orchestra performances, to moving Gospel Singing and a

fun line-up of country and rock acts, including Campbellsville’s own AMC nominee

and country star Hannah Ellis and Campbellsville native and Nashville recording

artist Collin White enjoy free musical entertainment all week long.

2. FOOD, FOOD, AND MORE FOOD

Whatever you’re looking for, there are plenty of eateries in Campbellsville to whet your

appetite, from national chains and steakhouses to delectable local Campbellsville

restaurants and bars, a taproom and microbrewery, a bourbon boutique, a cozy and

sophisticated 1920’s themed bar, and a full-range bowling alley restaurant. You’ll not go

the Tri-County Car Club's Independence Day Car Show, July 4, 8 am until 3 pm.

Enjoy 50's-60's music and a variety of food vendors.


5. RACE AT YOUR OWN PACE.

Kick off the July 4 th celebration with the Hometown Pharmacy Stay Well 5K/10K race

through downtown Historic Campbellsville on June 29, with prizes for all age groups. For

children ages 3-8, One Cross Health sponsored Big Wheel Races on July 4 are great

family focused fun.


6. KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE SKIES

Thrilling aerial stunts and displays, precision flyovers and formation flying will take over

the skies over the Taylor County airport June 29 at the Smoke On Aviation air show.


Lift your Independence Day spirits at the annual Murakami Hot Air Balloon Glow as

hot air balloons inflate and light up the night sky June 29 at the Taylor County

Fairgrounds. Then watch as more than 15 hot air balloons fill the skies over

Campbellsville at the annual Tom McClendon Memorial Hot Air Balloon Lift off on

June 30 at Miller Park.


7. PARADES, FLOATS, FIRETRUCKS, SHRINERS AND MORE

Kiddos…get ready for the big day, wear your patriotic outfits, decorate your bikes, trikes

and wagons and celebrate on July 3 with at the annual Taylor County Public Library’s

Children’s Parade. Prizes will be awarded to the most festive entries.


One of the biggest and most traditional of Campbell Ky events, the annual 4 th of July

parade is a tradition not to be missed. Thousands turn out to view floats, fire engines,

Shriners, horses and everyone who wants to show their patriotism and love for our

country. Thursday, July 4 at 10 am.


8. SPECTACULAR FIREWORKS

The Fireworks over Miller Park, a fantastic display and the perfect ending to a perfect

salute to our Country and the celebration of our independence,
